Horary: Will We Ever Be Together? (RESOLVED)

Every now and then, you come across a horary chart that speaks louder than the rest of them. This horary deals with a question I had been asking myself for years. I really never bothered casting a horary for it because I did not want to know the answer. Well, I've got to be honest here and admit that I was dying to know the answer. Then again, I did not want to risk falling into another one of my self-fulfilling prophecies.

Wouldn't knowing the outcome bring forth my own self-undoing? If it was a no, wouldn't I end up sabotaging myself? Wouldn't I give up hope? You know what happens to those who fight their own destiny. Oedipus, anyone? And with that in mind, let's interpret the chart.Well thought out questions are easier to answer than those that have been asked out of curiosity or whim. This chart is an example. It is fairly clear.

I asked: "Will We Ever Be Together"? An advice, never ask questions with ever in them. Horary has always worked better with a time frame in mind. Will Be Together This Year? would have been a better question. I've got to admit that was my mistake. Horary should never deal with absolutes.

I asked this question about my ex-boyfriend. Let's see how it goes.

I am the Sun, and he is Saturn. I am in Saturn's domicile. Saturn loves the Sun. At least that shows.

The Moon, my co-significator, is in Aries. Now, let's look a little bit closer. The Sun is separating from a conjunction to Mars. The Moon is separating from an opposition to the Mars. Mars is paying attention to both of my significators: as evidenced by the separating aspects and also by the fact that the Moon is in Mars' domicile. Why is Mars so important in this chart? Well, Mars is the general significator of young men. In this chart, Mars also rules my 5th house.

The Moon is square the Sun. The Sun is applying to Saturn by trine. The planets are coming together, but Mars is in the way. Who is Mars representing? Mars, being the ruler of my 5th house, represents my current boyfriend. The Moon-Sun square is very telling in this horary. My actions (being in a relationship) contradict my feelings (being in love with someone else). The relationship between Mars and the Sun is denying the possibility of a relationship between the Sun and Saturn. At least for the time being. The trine between the Sun and Saturn shows promise. Nothing can happen until the Sun decides to do something in order to be with Saturn.

First Meeting Chart: 9th House Focus

The first thing that strikes you when you look at this chart is the 9th house stellium.

The Sun, representative of the relationship is conjunct the Moon. This is a clear indication that the relationship will be a significant one for both parties involved. It will be a relationship based on emotions. The Sun is also conjunct Neptune. I am very weary of relationships with strong Neptune connections. In many cases, you don't love each other for what you really are, but for what you each other should be, in other words, the rose-colored glasses syndrome. Most of these relationships are built upon loose foundations. They might feel fated, but they usually don't last long.

You have the Moon applying to retrograde Mercury. This relationship is gonna have intense conversations, which will often lead to misunderstandings and arguments. To top it off, Uranus is in the mix, passing the energy back and forth between the planets. The relationship will feel like a roller-coaster.

The significance of the 9th house focus only came to me in retrospect. This was a relationship that was established while I was abroad. It was about expanding my horizons, and that's where Aquarius comes in. It certainly was an offbeat relationship. The Sun conjunction to Neptune led to some experimentation.

The Stellium in the 9th house is opposed by Saturn which reflects, on a certain level, the reason why the relationship ended so quickly. Saturn restricted our expression and our emotions.
We weren't comfortable in the relationship because we couldn't be ourselves.

Pluto is found in the 7th house. The relationship was obsessive, even more so with the applying square from Venus. This is the only applying aspect from Venus (asides from one to the Ascendant). What kept the relationship alive (Venus in action) was a mere compulsive infatuation. Mars in the 8th, made for great sex, to say the least. The Moon is very late, at 29 degrees. Relationship lasted for 2 months.

Horary: Will My Friend Marry? (RESOLVED)

Background: The Querent wants to know whether her best friend would get married this year.

There are many different ways to read charts such as this. It is always good to explore different possibilities. I decided to turn the chart, rather than assign the ascendant to the best friend and the 7th to the boyfriend.
Querent's best friend is represented by the 11th house cusp. In this case, the 11th house cusp falls in Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun.

For the Querent's boyfriend, we should look at 7th house from the 11th which is the turned 5th. The 5th house cusp is in Aquarius, ruled by Saturn.

The Querent's best friend is represented by the Sun and her boyfriend is Saturn. The Sun is in Capricorn, Saturn's domicile. This means that the Querent's best friend really likes this guy. It should also be noted that in Capricorn the Sun is in a detrimental position. We can see that this relationship is not beneficial to the Sun. It gets worse. She is found in the 4th, which is also his turned 12th house. She is in the house of hidden enemies, and secrets. Is there something he is not telling?

The Moon is void of course and in fall. The are no applying aspects between the Sun and Saturn. The Moon does not touch any of the significators. I'm pretty sure it's a no.

UPDATE: They are no longer together.
